Our Service

CNC Machining Services for Custom Parts

Our CNC machining services cover CNC milling, CNC turning, and 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining for custom metal and plastic parts. We manufacture prototypes, low-volume orders, and repeat production parts, with the machining process selected around the part geometry, material, quantity, and required tolerances.

For precision components, selected critical features can be machined to tolerances down to ±0.01 mm (±0.0004 in), depending on part geometry, material, and process requirements. This includes mating holes, locating surfaces, shaft diameters, threads, and other close-fit features where dimensional accuracy affects assembly or performance.

We work from the design information available for each part, including 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, or both. Machining and inspection requirements are determined from the actual part specifications rather than applying a tight tolerance across features that do not require it.

Our Service

CNC Machining for Complex and Custom Parts

We manufacture custom CNC machined parts with a wide range of geometries, from brackets, plates, housings, and shafts to components with complex three-dimensional features. Our machining capabilities accommodate thin-wall sections, deep cavities, narrow slots, internal steps, angled surfaces, and contoured profiles.

Complex components are evaluated according to their geometry, material, feature accessibility, and production requirements. Depending on the part, 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining can be used to produce multi-sided features and reduce unnecessary setups while maintaining consistency across the finished component.

We support prototype development, low-volume production, and repeat manufacturing for both individual components and production batches. Each part is manufactured according to its specific design and application requirements, rather than being limited to standard part geometries.

low-volume production

Our Service

From Prototype to Repeat Production

Our CNC machining services support projects from prototype development and initial samples through low-volume production and repeat manufacturing. Whether you need a single part for design verification or an ongoing supply of production components, the machining process is selected around the requirements of the part and order.

Prototype parts can be produced to verify fit, function, assembly, and design before moving into production. Once the design is approved, the same manufacturing requirements can be carried forward for subsequent orders, helping maintain consistency in machining and inspection across repeat batches.

Production quantities can range from one-off prototypes to low-volume and repeat production, depending on the component, material, geometry, and process requirements. This allows new parts to move from initial development into regular manufacturing without requiring a different supplier for each production stage.

CNC Machining Materials

We machine a broad range of metals and engineering plastics for CNC machined components. Material selection is based on the part geometry, mechanical requirements, operating environment, dimensional requirements, and intended application.

Common materials include 6061-T6, 7075-T6, 5052, 6063, 303 and 316 stainless steel, 17-4 PH stainless steel, brass, copper, titanium, POM, nylon, and PEEK.

The required material grade and condition can be specified from the engineering drawing, CAD data, or project requirements. Where required, material certification and traceability documentation can be provided with the production order.

Surface Finishing for CNC Machined Parts-01

Our Service

Surface Finishing for CNC Machined Parts

Machining is only part of the finished component. We can provide CNC machined parts with a range of surface treatments, including anodizing, bead blasting, polishing, brushing, passivation, plating, and powder coating.

For aluminum components, common finishes include anodizing and bead blasting for corrosion resistance, surface protection, or appearance. Stainless steel parts can be passivated or polished, while plating and powder coating can be specified where additional protection or a particular surface condition is required.

Surface finish requirements can be applied to the complete component or limited to specific faces, bores, threads, or other features. Finish, color, coating specification, masking areas, and other requirements can be defined on the drawing or provided with the RFQ.

CNC Machining Inspection and Quality Documentation

Finished parts are inspected against the dimensions, tolerances, and specifications defined in the engineering documentation. Inspection may cover critical dimensions, hole locations, diameters, threads, flatness, surface condition, and other features that affect fit, function, or assembly.

Measurement methods are selected according to the part and feature being inspected, using CMMs, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other calibrated inspection equipment.

Inspection results can be documented in a dimensional inspection report, with measured values recorded against the specified dimensions. Depending on the order requirements, we can also provide material certificates, surface finishing certificates, and other applicable quality documentation with the shipment.

The inspection documentation provides a record of the finished part’s measured results and the specified requirements used for acceptance.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about CNC machining services, materials, tolerances, production quantities, finishing, inspection, and quoting.

We provide CNC milling, CNC turning, and 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining for custom metal and plastic components. Projects can range from one-off prototypes and engineering samples to low-volume and repeat production.

Common materials include aluminum alloys such as 6061-T6 and 7075-T6, stainless steel including 303 and 316, 17-4 PH stainless steel, brass, copper, titanium, and engineering plastics such as POM, nylon, and PEEK. Specific grades and material conditions can be reviewed according to the project requirements.

For selected critical features, tolerances down to ±0.01 mm (±0.0004 in) can be reviewed depending on the part geometry, material, size, machining process, and inspection method. This is not a blanket tolerance for every feature. Final requirements are confirmed from the engineering drawing and project specifications.

You can provide a 3D CAD model, 2D engineering drawing, or both. STEP or STP files are commonly used for 3D geometry, while PDF drawings can define tolerances, threads, surface finish, critical dimensions, and inspection requirements. Material, quantity, and required finishing should also be included when applicable.
